Open-plan DC homes and condos have an acoustic problem: hard floors, hard walls, and hard ceilings echo. Pannello acoustic panels solve this with a real wood face over a sound-absorbing felt backing — a fix that reads as a designed architectural element, not as foam.

Why Pannello

Acoustic panels that earn the wall

Acoustic panels are most effective when they cover a meaningful amount of wall area — which makes how they look matter. Pannello panels are finished in the same wood library as our cabinets, so the acoustic treatment reads as part of the design.

  • Visible improvement in room acoustics
  • Reads as architecture
  • Coordinates with cabinetry

From clients & designers

What people say after living with their Pannello cabinetry.

"Pannello drew our Georgetown kitchen the way an architect would — full elevations, real material samples, no salesperson with a tablet. The chimney chase that we had been trying to hide for ten years is now the most elegant element in the room."

Lauren O.

Homeowner · Georgetown

"The Pannello team turned around our Dupont condo kitchen in four weeks of fabrication and four days of install. Clean, on time, and the finish quality matched what we were specifying for clients in our own design practice."

Marc D.

Interior Designer · Dupont Circle

"We had eight contractors quote our McLean closet program. Pannello was the only one that drew it before quoting it. The drawings became the spec, and what got delivered matched the drawings exactly."

Sarah K.

Homeowner · McLean

Cannot find what you are looking for? Send a question.

How much wall area do I need to cover for acoustic improvement to be noticeable?

Generally 25 to 40 percent of one wall, or a full ceiling, is the threshold for noticeable improvement. We can recommend coverage based on the room size and use.
